01

Confirm your StorageChain access

You must have an active StorageChain BYOC account and access to an organization or workspace with repositories already connected and indexed.

02

Add or connect StorageChain in ChatGPT

From your ChatGPT workspace, open the Apps/Connectors area and connect StorageChain when it is available to your account or enabled by your workspace administrator.

Availability and admin controls can vary by ChatGPT plan and workspace configuration.
03

Authorize your StorageChain account

Complete the account authorization flow. Only grant the access required for the connector to perform the requested search and retrieval functions.

04

Search authorized enterprise knowledge

Ask ChatGPT to find, summarize, compare, or retrieve information available through your StorageChain knowledge layer. Search results are governed by the permissions associated with your authorized StorageChain access.

05

Disconnect or revoke access at any time

You can disconnect StorageChain from the Apps/Connectors settings in ChatGPT. Your StorageChain administrator may also remove your access or change source permissions within the StorageChain environment.

Permission-Aware AI™

Your source permissions remain the control plane.

StorageChain is designed to retrieve enterprise knowledge based on the files, folders, repositories, and indexed content a user is authorized to access—not an unrestricted company-wide data dump.

Authorized content onlySearch should return content available to the requesting user through StorageChain’s permission model.
Admin-controlled accessOrganization administrators control repository connections and user access.
Report unexpected access immediatelyIf you believe the connector exposed content you should not be able to view, disconnect it and contact support immediately.
Privacy, Data & Security

Clear controls for connected data.

StorageChain provides public policies and a direct support channel for account, privacy, deletion, and security requests.

Privacy & data requests

For questions about personal data, account information, retention, access, correction, or deletion, review the StorageChain Privacy Policy or contact support.

  • Email support@storagechain.io with the subject “Privacy or Data Request.”
  • Identify the StorageChain account or organization related to the request.
  • Do not include passwords, tokens, private keys, or other authentication secrets.

Security concerns & vulnerabilities

Report suspected unauthorized access, security vulnerabilities, or connector behavior that may expose data beyond the expected authorization boundary.

  • Email support@storagechain.io with “SECURITY” in the subject line.
  • Include the date/time, affected account or organization, and a concise description of what occurred.
  • Do not transmit live credentials, access tokens, or confidential source documents by email.

Disconnecting the connector

If you no longer want ChatGPT to access StorageChain through the connector, disconnect the app/connector in ChatGPT settings. For organization-level access changes, contact your StorageChain administrator.

  • Open ChatGPT Settings and locate Apps/Connectors.
  • Select StorageChain and choose the available disconnect/remove option.
  • Contact StorageChain support if the connection persists unexpectedly.

What to include in a support request

Providing the right diagnostic context helps us investigate without collecting unnecessary data.

  • Your StorageChain account email and organization name.
  • Approximate date/time and time zone of the issue.
  • Whether the issue affects sign-in, authorization, search, result access, or disconnect.
  • A screenshot of the error with confidential data redacted, if available.
Important: StorageChain support will never ask you to email your password, private key, API key, MFA/OTP code, or an active access token. If you receive such a request claiming to be StorageChain, do not comply and report it to support@storagechain.io.
Frequently Asked Questions

Connector support FAQ.

Why can’t I find StorageChain in my ChatGPT workspace?

Connector/app availability can depend on your ChatGPT plan, workspace settings, administrator controls, geography, and the connector’s publication status. If StorageChain should be available to your organization but is missing, contact your ChatGPT workspace administrator and then StorageChain support.

Why can another user see a file that I cannot?

StorageChain is permission-aware. Search visibility can differ by user because each person may have different access to repositories, folders, files, or indexed knowledge. If you believe your permissions are incorrect, contact your StorageChain administrator.

What should I do if I see content I should not have access to?

Stop using the connector for that content, disconnect StorageChain from ChatGPT, and contact support@storagechain.io immediately with “SECURITY” in the subject. Do not forward or reproduce the affected content unnecessarily.

Does disconnecting StorageChain delete my StorageChain account?

No. Disconnecting the ChatGPT connector removes that connection; it does not by itself delete your StorageChain account or your organization’s indexed data. For account or data deletion requests, contact StorageChain support and review the Privacy Policy.

Where can I review StorageChain’s privacy and service terms?

The public StorageChain Privacy Policy is available at storagechain.io/privacy-policy and the Terms of Service are available at storagechain.io/terms-of-services. Both links are also provided in the site footer.
